"Every major city in NYS has at least one residential facility except for Syracuse.  Why?  As a lifelong Syracusan, I cannot stand by and watch these children suffer and force their mothers to choose between getting treatment and keeping their children. They should be able to choose both. We must be build a facility for them."

(Syracuse, August 17, 2023)

We just finished our 8th Back to School Event for the Families of The Problem Solving Courts. What an amazing day! We have so many people to thank. Because of our wonderful donors, we provided 87 children from 36 families with everything they need to start the school year off right.

Thank you to the Sisters of St. Francis who provided funds, storage, and so many volunteers! Holy Cross Church provided the backpacks and School Supplies, the Dewitt Rotary provided funds for grocery gift cards for each family, Fidelis was there to assist families who needed to re enroll in Medicaid or Child Health Plus, M&T Bank gave the children piggy banks and answered banking questions, The Literacy Coalition dropped off books for the children to keep, and MCC provided a new outfit, and a new pair of sneakers for each child.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who spent the day with us, and thank you to the court case managers and court officers who were wonderful!

"We wish you could have seen the looks on the faces of the children as they picked out their sneakers and backpacks.... Priceless."
