Annual Winter Clothing Giveaway

MCC provides support for families connected to the Problem-Solving Courts; they are some of the most vulnerable families in Onondaga County. In mid-December, we delivered donations from Holy Cross, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Community, and a few other supporters. We did our best to get everything delivered before the snowstorm that week.  Through our combined efforts we were able to help 90 children from 34 families prepare for winter in Central New York. In addition to the donations from Holy Cross, and the knitted hats from the Sisters of St. Francis, each child received a brand new winter coat and sturdy boots, as well as a grocery store gift card. We believe every child in our area deserves a warm coat, hats, gloves, and dry feet, regardless of their families’ circumstances. Thank you for helping us make this a reality for these children. With your assistance, we were able to meet the needs of children and families who are in difficult circumstances, and we are so grateful.
